YOUth LEADers

In the training course take part 30 youth workers from Spain, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania.

The training course consists in a complex series of non-formal activities and methods that aim at enhancing 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, in the same time with tackling propaganda and disinformation among youngsters. The training course is built in the context of the 2024 EU level elections and has a strong community involvement.

The training course is emphasizing the need for abetter trans-sectorial interaction between NGO sector, public administration and youth workers, while working on developing and adapting methods for working with youngsters for development of critical thinking skills.

𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞:

Youth workers adapted to immediate needs learning of young people in the new socio-economic context.

Enhanced key competencies for youth workers in the field of Critical thinking and correct information

Transnational cooperation between partners and network for exchanging resources and promote advocacy, with the goal of acquisition of skills for youth in a non-formal context.

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 is built on a series of 4 phases, that cover full 8 days of activities, as follows:

Phase 1 – Group cohesion and building a team

Phase 2 – Common learning and exploration

Phase 3 – Experimentation and generation of results

Phase 4 – Continuation and follow-up

𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, backed up by learning methods, are: Teambuilding and group cohesion, Mapping the Reality, Self-assessment framework, Reality of facts vs. reality of moods, Propaganda techniques, Prototyping and testing of workshops, Trans-sectorial focus groups with local authorities, Evaluation and feedback.
