Rural Spark

Here we are! Showcasing the journey of our youth exchange “𝐑𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤”, organized between ⏳8-17 of April 2025 in 📍Vatra Dornei, Romania.

✅This youth exchange brought together 42 young participants from Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland.

✅ The project aimed to highlight the creative and entrepreneurial potential of rural youth, sparking innovative ideas through interactive workshops and team collaboration. 💡 Through shared experiences, participants explored how to turn rural challenges into opportunities for innovation and local impact. 🌾

✅ By empowering young minds from rural areas and offering tools to develop sustainable business ideas, “Rural Spark” emphasized that creativity knows no geographical boundaries. 🌍

🔝 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 were to:

📌 Equip 35 youngsters and 7 group leaders from Spain, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania with key competences on creativity and rural sustainable entrepreneurship.

📌 Identify and exchange best practices on creativity and rural entrepreneurship among youngsters from the 7 participating countries, to increase the rural youth potential.

📌 Enhance the organizational capacity of the 7 partner organizations in the fields of creativity and entrepreneurship across Europe.

🎯 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 followed a dynamic 4-phase structure over 8 days:

🔴 Phase 1 – Team building and creating a safe space for exchange

🟠 Phase 2 – Sharing realities and exploring challenges in rural entrepreneurship

🟡 Phase 3 – Co-creating solutions and developing entrepreneurial ideas

🟢 Phase 4 – Follow-up and sharing results

🔑 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, designed with interactive learning methods, included: Teamwork and intercultural workshops; Sharing sessions on rural challenges and creative potential; Hackathon; Brainstorming labs for social entrepreneurship; creative pitch simulation; Role play; Personal SWOT analysis; Reflection, Youthpass sessions, evaluation and feedback

📌 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 was:

✔️ The creation of 8 digital Rural Hubs as prototypes of youth-led initiatives for rural development
