Disinformation Fighters Club

✨ We’re excited to announce the finalization of the training course “𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛”, a powerful initiative designed to strengthen youth workers’ competences in the fight against disinformation across Europe. This project took place between 18-26 June 2025 in 📍Vatra Dornei, Romania.

✅ The training course brought together 32 youth workers and NGO representatives from Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Türkiye and Romania.

✅ The program addressed the serious challenge of disinformation, which increasingly affects young people as they shape their critical thinking, values, and sense of citizenship. Participants explored how distorted information undermines trust in the EU, European values, and active participation, while learning how to build resilience through critical analysis and constructive dialogue.

⚡️ Main objectives of the training course were to:

📌 Equip 32 youth workers from 9 European countries with competences in critical thinking and disinformation prevention.

📌 Enhance participants’ digital communication skills to become local multipliers for accurate information.

📌 Strengthen the organizational capacity of partner NGOs in raising awareness about Europe and correct information.

⭐️ Training methodology combined non-formal education, group learning, and collaborative exercises, ensuring participants engaged with:

🔴 Facts vs. opinions workshops

🟠 Analysis of reliable vs. unreliable sources

🟡 Country presentations on the state of disinformation

🟢 Practical exercises on detecting and countering false narratives

📌 Main outcomes of the project included:

✔️ An educational board game created by participants to improve knowledge and awareness on critical thinking and disinformation, with a focus on clickbait, conspiracy theories, deepfakes and the use of AI, facts vs. opinions, as well as biases and fallacies.

✔️ A series of informative short videos and reels designed to raise awareness about the traps of disinformation, including deepfakes, image manipulation, satire, conspiracy theories, and clickbait.
