ThinkSmart.AI Training Course
Implemented between 14 – 22 April 2026 in Murzasichle, Poland, the ThinkSmart.AI Training Course brought together 29 youth workers from Germany, Romania, Italy, Spain, Greece, Czechia, Poland, Serbia and Türkiye for an international learning experience focused on understanding and navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Throughout the training course, participants explored how to evaluate online information, recognise disinformation and use AI tools critically and responsibly. They also reflected on the role of algorithms in shaping the information we encounter and the way we understand the world around us.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Training Course were to:
- Strengthen youth workers’ competences in critical thinking, media literacy and responsible AI use.
- Develop creative non-formal learning tools for fact-checking, understanding algorithms and exploring ethical AI use.
- Support partner organisations in integrating digital education and critical AI practices into their youth work.
Methodology
The training combined non-formal education, practical experimentation and collaborative learning through activities including:
- AI 101 sessions and prompting challenges
- AI-generated content detection and fact-checking exercises
- Exploring algorithms, ethics and the impact of AI on everyday life
- Experimenting with different AI tools and their practical applications
- Co-creating digital learning tools and awareness materials
Results
The project resulted in several practical outputs, including:
- Interactive digital learning tools supporting young people in developing critical thinking and understanding AI, fake news and AI-generated content.
- Video tutorials promoting responsible AI use and raising awareness of its challenges.
- AI Blueprints presenting different AI tools, their applications and potential risks.
ThinkSmart.AI created a space for participants to explore, question, experiment and create with AI, strengthening their confidence and helping them become more critical and responsible users of technology.
