FutureCraft Training Course
We are happy to announce the successful finalization of “FutureCraft – Building Employable Minds”, an international Training Course implemented in Bușteni, Romania, between 16–24 July 2026. The project also marked the end of the implementation period for the international mobilities carried out under our 2025 Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation.
The training course brought together 26 youth workers from Romania, Serbia, Poland, Italy, Spain, Czechia, Greece and Türkiye, creating an international learning space focused on employability, future labour market trends and the competences young people need to successfully navigate an increasingly digital and rapidly changing professional environment.
Main objectives
The main objectives of the training course were to:
- Equip youth workers with essential employability competences for the digital era, including critical thinking, adaptability, digital literacy and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Enhance participants’ understanding of current labour market trends and practical methods for supporting young people in developing future-ready skills and career paths.
- Strengthen the capacity of partner organizations by integrating innovative non-formal methods and digital tools into their youth work practices.
Training methodology
The programme was based on non-formal education, experiential learning and collaborative methods, encouraging participants to actively exchange experiences and explore practical approaches that can be transferred into their daily youth work.
Throughout the training course, participants explored future labour market trends and reflected on the key competences needed for employability. Through activities such as the IKIGAI diagram, participants reflected on personal pathways and the questions youth workers can use to better understand and support young people in their career journeys.
The programme also addressed communication, adaptability and creative problem-solving, while discussions focused on the gaps between formal education and the realities of today’s labour market and the role of youth work in helping young people develop practical competences.
During the co-creation phase, participants used methods such as SWOT analysis, role-playing and creative mapping to explore employability challenges and develop practical learning resources together.
Main outcomes
The training resulted in several practical outputs created by the participants:
- A booklet featuring 23 real examples of transformed weaknesses, developed through personal reflection and SWOT analysis.
- Employability Maps, created using the scrapbook method to explore skills, strengths and possible career pathways.
- A Digital Employability Toolkit, including useful digital tools and practical video tutorials designed to support the job-search process.
Beyond the educational activities, the training course also created opportunities for intercultural learning, experience sharing and the development of meaningful connections between youth workers from different European countries.
We would like to thank all participants, facilitators and partner organizations who contributed to making FutureCraft – Building Employable Minds a valuable and inspiring learning experience. Through collaboration, creativity and the exchange of good practices, the project contributed to strengthening the capacity of youth workers to support young people in becoming more adaptable, confident and prepared for the future of work.
